Darlington have made an addition to their squad, bringing in a defender from Hartlepool United.

Josh Nearney joins on a month's loan ahead of a period that will see suspensions hit Darlington’s defence, though nobody is suspended until next week when Quakers host Lancaster City.

A graduate of the well-known Wallsend Boys Club, the 19-year-old signed his first professional contract with Pools in June having joined from Middlesbrough two years ago.

He is in contention for tomorrow's match with Clitheroe at Heritage Park (3pm).
