FEARS have been raised that beauty products, stolen from a parked car over the weekend, could cause burns if used by unqualified people.
Nail gels, polish and LED UV lamps worth an estimated £300 were among the items stolen from a grey Hyundai i20 parked in Smithfield Road, Darlington, overnight on Saturday (November 15).
The equipment belongs to mobile beauty consultant Rebecca Hall.
Her daughter Georgia, 18, a trainee beauty therapist herself, said: "Some of it can cause burns if you do not know how to use it."
Other items stolen include a sat-nav, mobile phone charger and perfume.
PC Chris Horner, of Darlington police, said two silver boxes for carrying the equipment were also taken.
He added: "We have been advised that, if anybody tries to use some of the products without proper training, they will burn themselves."
Anyone with information is asked to call PC Horner on the non-emergency number, 101.
