THE line-up has been announced for the music stage at this Saturday’s Darlington Carnival.
The programme includes an eclectic mix of genres, with bands and soloists performing original work and their take on some of the classics.
Performances on the stage in Stanhope Park begin at 12.30pm and a particular highlight this year is the inclusion of Vito, whose Cajun-inspired sound has won them a strong local following, leading to sell-out gigs at The Forum.
Another popular act on the bill is Goy Boy McIlroy, who recently played on BBC radio.
Other performers include the Vocal Soul Community Choir singing bespoke arrangements of Beach Boys and Pharrell Williams among others; guitar singer-songwriters Dawn and Wal; indie rock bands Sunset Regime and Capture; alternative rock band Kidd; and 16-year-old singer-songwriter Anna Leigh Stainton.
