CHOIR CALL: St Teresa’s Hospice is looking for choirs to take part in its annual Hospice Christmas Cracker Concert, held in December. The event raises funds for the hospice and involves performers from across Darlington. TROLLEY COLLECTION: The Asda store in Whinbush Way, Darlington, will be holding a trolley collection of small items on behalf of Darlington and District Women’s Refuge during International Women’s Week. Donations including tea, coffee, practical kitchen items, hairbrushes, deodorant, new ladies underwear and nightwear will all be welcome until Friday, March 7. Items can be left in a trolley at the rear of the checkouts.
CREATIVE WRITING: A five-week course in creative writing will begin on Tuesday, March 4 at Darlington Crown Street Library. The course costs £25 and will meet each Tuesday between 1pm and 3pm. Call 01325-248021 to enrol.
KIDS CLUB: A play club for children aged between five and 11 will be held at the Salvation Army Citadel, in Thompson Street East, in Darlington, on Tuesday, March 4, between 6pm and 7pm. Entry is 50p per child.
CANCER SUPPORT: The Darlington and Teesdale Breast Cancer Support Group meets on the first Tuesday of every month at surgical outpatients, C Floor, in Darlington Memorial Hospital. Call 01325-743290 for details.
WARD SURGERY: The Conservative councillor for Harrowgate Hill, Gill Cartwright, will hold a ward surgery for local people at Harrowgate Hill Working Men’s Club, in Salters Lane, between 7.30pm and 8.30pm on Wednesday, March 5.
