APPRENTICES and employers across Darlington are being encouraged to have their achievements recognised nationally.
The 2014 National Apprenticeship Awards seeks to reward those who are setting an example as apprentices and the employers supporting them.
Now in their eleventh year, the awards – run by the National Apprenticeship – are now open for 2014 entries.
Nick Wilson, North East Deputy Director for The Skills Funding Agency, said: “The National Apprenticeship Awards recognise the success of employers in growing their own talent and developing a motivated, skilled and qualifies workforce.
“They also recognise the crucial role skills play in helping individuals develop fulfilling careers.”

The closing date for entries is Friday March 28.
