A CAMPAIGN to tackle domestic abuse in Darlington has been given a funding boost.
The Loves Me, Loves Me Not project, run by the Darlington Soroptimists, has been awarded £750 by The Rothley Trust to help them buy more materials.
The club distributes bookmarks and posters carrying a series of messages intended to help improve relationships and reduce violence.
A number of Darlington schools have already taken delivery of the posters and bookmarks, which can also be found in a number of public buildings in the town.
The Rothley Trust is a registered trust, which gives small grants to assist groups with charitable work in the North-East.
Jean Earle, who submitted the successful bid, said “It’s great news - now we can print more bookmarks and go on spreading the word that better relationships prevent abuse.”
The project, which has the backing of Darlington’s MP Jenny Chapman, began last summer and has distributed thousands of promotional items.
