A NEW veterinary practice which hopes to offer training to the next generation of vets has opened in Darlington.
Darlington Vet Clinic, in Alverton Drive, Faverdale, opened earlier this month and vet, Rebecca Bradley, hopes the practice will soon be able to offer training and advice to budding young vets.
The 32-year-old said: “We decided we wanted to set up a practice somewhere where there that doesn’t already have one so that people don’t have to travel across town to see a vet.
“People often form a strong level of trust with their vet, and we hope people can do the same with us.
“There is also a shortage of training practices in the North-East so we wanted to help.
“We want to help the big employment issue as well, so we will offer training and advice to students enrolled on college courses and ensure they are trained to the level required by the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons.”
The clinic is also offering a number of introductory deals, including dog and cat vaccines for £15.
The practice is open from Monday to Friday, 9am to 6pm and Saturday from 9am to noon.
