DEVELOPERS have applied for permission to demolish a house to build 15 flats.

The detached property, at 88 Cleveland Avenue, could be replaced by two apartment blocks after a housing company submitted a planning application to Darlington Borough Council.

Watford-based Kebbell Homes has drawn up blueprints for the complex, close to the former site of Darlington Technology College.

The three-storey blocks will have two flats per floor, and room for 21 parking spaces outside. Each apartment is designed with two bedrooms, two bathrooms, a lounge, kitchen and hallway.

The plans can be viewed at Darlington Town Hall.
