PUPILS got a lesson in recycling when they made school uniforms out of waste.
Hurworth School Maths and Computing College, near Darlington, held a rubbish fashion competition, with a pantomime dames theme, to celebrate their last day of term.
Teacher Rita Rees said: "There was a lot of excitement when creating the costumes."
The inter-house competition was organised by performing arts co-ordinator Clare Suddes.
The Upper School winner was Rosedale House, with Coverdale second and Weardale third. The Lower School winner was Weardale House, with Coverdale second and Teesdale third.
