STUDENTS at Queen Elizabeth Sixth Form College raised more than £1,000 for charity after dressing up - in school uniform.
Staff and students at the college, which normally has no uniform, paid for the privilege of wearing St Trinian's outfits on one of the last days of the school term.
Now a cheque for £1,159 has been presented to handed St Teresa's Hospice.
Hospice director Jane Bradshaw said: "I know students at Queen Elizabeth Sixth Form College do a great deal to support both local and national charities, and regularly host various fundraising events.
"This year, they have done much to support St Teresa's Hospice."
Melanie Barker, student services coordinator at the college, said: "Our students worked exceptionally hard to raise this money. They definitely put the fun back into fundraising."
