YOUNG people still have the chance to say what activities they would like to see provided in the Lascelles Park area of Darlington.
A group of young people attended a consultation event last Saturday to give their views on the events and activities provided in their area by Darlington Borough Council's Youth Service.
As well as filling in a questionnaire, the youngsters had the chance to try out a climbing wall, work with a graffiti artist and play a range of sports.
To thank them for their involvement, the Youth Service gave a free cinema ticket to each young person who filled in a questionnaire and entered their names in a draw to win a 2G Nano Ipod.
To ensure everyone on the estate can influence what youth activities are provided, the same event is being held today, at St John's Primary School, Fenby Avenue, from 11am to 3pm, and is aimed at any young person from the Lascelles Park area.
Youth workers will use what they learn at the event to plan future activities for young people as well as identifying those who want to become more involved in the Youth Service.
