JCB STOLEN: Police are appealing for information after a JCB VMT 160-80 Vibromax Roller was stolen from Darlington Borough Council’s Vicarage Road site, in Darlington, between 3.30pm on Friday, September 27, and 7.30am on Monday, September 30 A three tone trailer attached to the JCB was also stolen. Anyone with information is asked to contact the serious crime team at Darlington on 01325-742776.

COT APPEAL: The Darlington women’s refuge has made an appeal for donations of cot sheets and blankets as they are running low. Donations of toiletries and ladies and children’s clothing would also be welcomed. Items can be left at the Safer Neighbourhood Unit at the Central House annexe, in Gladstone Street, Darlington, for the attention of PC Fiona Cunningham, who will pass them on.

WARD SURGERY: The ward councillors for Heighington and Coniscliffe, Gerald Lee and Paul Crudass, will hold a surgery for local residents on Saturday (October 5) at Piercebridge Village Hall, between 10am and 11am.
