COMMUNITY-SPIRITED young people have begun sprucing up a popular Darlington venue.
The Forum Music Centre, in Borough Road, will benefit from painting, decorating and re-plastering thanks to the hard work of nine students taking part in a 12-week Prince’s Trust project.
They will spend the next two weeks working at the venue, before moving on to another aspect of the team-building project.
“It is projects like this which inspire young people to be part of something to help their local community,” said project leader Martin Copley.
The 16-to-23-year-olds taking part in the project have carried out fundraisers to buy materials for their project at the Forum.
They have already held a cake sale and will also take part in bag-packs at Morrisons, in North Road.
