DOGS Trust Darlington is holding its annual summer fair at South Park on June 30.
It runs from noon to 4pm and there will be dog agility classes, fairground games and a range of stalls.
A drop-off station will be onsite for people to donate items to the Trust’s shop and the charity is also appealing for donations of plastic bottles to its Skinnergate shop as these are needed for an activity at the Sadberge rehoming centre.
TASTY: Finalists of a cake competition will display their creations at Sainsbury’s supermarket on Wednesday. Darlington College’s catering students have been designing and baking cakes to celebrate Darlington Town Mission’s 175th Anniversary. Sainsbury’s shoppers will get the chance to sample the three finalists’ cakes before judges from The Morritt Hotel decide on the winning cake to be served at the Town Mission’s anniversary meal.
