POLICE are appealing for information after thousands of pounds worth of lead was stolen from a business in Darlington.
Thieves have targeted the Bussey and Armstrong offices, in Brinkburn Road, Darlington, twice over the past few weeks, stripping the roof of about £6,000 worth of lead.
PC Liam Robertson, of Darlington police, said the incidents coincide with other metal thefts within the Cockerton area and asked anybody with any information to call police on the 101 non-emergency number.
Alternatively information can be passed anonymously to Crimestoppers on 0800-555-111.
RECRUITMENT DRIVE: Darlington Neighbourhood Watch Association will be holding a recruitment event on Saturday (May 25) from 2pm to 5pm at Morrisons, in North Road, Darlington. Members will be on hand to discuss crime prevention and how to sign up to the scheme.
