FIREFIGHTERS rescued a man from a broken down cherry picker in Darlington this morning (Thursday, May 23).
One appliance from Darlington fire station attended a property in Duke Street, in Darlington, at about 9am following reports of a man being stuck in a broken down cherry picker.
A spokesperson from County Durham and Darlington Fire and Rescue Service said an aerial ladder platform was used to rescue the man, thought to be in his 50s, from the rear of Cooper and Leatherbarrow Opticians. Nobody was injured during the incident.
