OFFICERS from Darlington police and the Royal Military Police were called to Inside Out nightclub, in Beaumont Street, in the early hours of Tuesday (May 21), following reports that smoke pellets had been released by a revellers. A spokesman for Darlington police said the club was searched and no pellets were found.
PLANNING APPEAL: Patrick Connors has appealed to the Planning Inspectorate following Darlington Borough Council’s refusal of planning permission for a private gypsy site at Middleton Road, in Sadberge. An appeal hearing will be held at the Head of Steam Railway Museum, in Darlington, at 10am, on Tuesday, June 4.
MAYOR VISIT: Students from India, who are visiting St Aidan’s Academy, will enjoy a visit to the mayor’s parlour, at Darlington Town Hall, on Thursday (May 23), at 11am. They will be welcomed by the town’s new mayor, Councillor Charles Johnson.
