A SIGNED Middlesbrough football shirt has been donated as a raffle prize for a charity recently hit by a burglary.
The shirt will be raffled off at a coffee morning in Hurworth in June to raise funds for Advocacy – a Darlington-based charity for people with learning difficulties which recently had four laptops stolen from its premises.
The shirt is the latest donation to the charity since The Northern Echo reported on the burglary, which led to Advocacy being overwhelmed with support from the members of the public.
Eight laptops have now been pledged to Advocacy, with various businesses and Echo readers donating to the cause.
The Middlesbrough shirt will be raffled off at the coffee morning on June 1 at the Emerson Arms pub in Hurworth, starting from 9.30am and all are welcome to attend.
