PRIMARY school children benefited from the expertise of an academy’s staff and facilities to learn more about science.
Year five children from Mowden Primary School took part in a science exposition hosted by the Darlington School of Mathematics and Science (DSMS) to learn about sound, hearing, gases and changing states.
The science evening also gave the children the opportunity to use the academy’s laboratories and show off their knowledge to parents.
DSMS deputy head teacher Neil Johnson said: “The children have made massive progress and have built their confidence in the lab.
“Science is one of the academy’s specialisms and we have invested heavily in facilities at the school, so it is great to be able to share all of this with other schools."
