CYCLE THEFT: Police are investigating the theft of a Carrera Vengence 1620 pedal cycle, valued at £300, that was stolen from the compound of JLM Global Foods Ltd, on Allington Way, in Darlington, between 10.45am and 3pm on Monday, May 13. The bike was secured to the perimeter fencing with a bike lock, which appears to have been cut by the thief. The bike is grey and red in colour and had a broken rear light which was attached with brown tape. Anyone with information is asked to call the non-emergency 101 number and ask for PC Natalie Winter.
CHARITY CONCERT: The Darlington Lions Club will host a charity concert in aid of Heel and Toe North East, a children’s charity, at the Liddiard Theatre, at Polam School, in Darlington, on Friday, May 17. The concert will feature Fourum, a local folk band. The event starts at 7.15pm. Tickets are £7, available on the door or at 01325-460435.
WARD SURGERY: The councillors for the Cockerton East and Cockerton West wards will hold a joint surgery for residents at Cockerton library on Friday, May 17, between 6pm and 7pm.
