POLICE are appealing for witnesses to a collision between three vehicles that caused significant damage to one of the cars.
The incident happened outside Grange vets on Victoria Road, in Darlington, at about 2.40pm on Saturday, May 2.
A black Toyota Hilux pick-up truck collided with the rear of a black Vauxhall Astra car, which caused the Astra to move forward and hit the car in front.
The Toyota then reversed and crossed the central reservation, and made off in the direction of Grange Road.
The crash caused significant damage to the Astra and left the driver, a 48-year-old man from Newton Aycliffe, with injuries to his back and neck.
Anyone who might have seen the Toyota, which has the registration mark NU13 KLE, or has been asked to repair damage to the vehicle should contact PC Carole Weightman on the non-emergency number 101, or call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800-555-111.
