The final match in the trophy competition was held at Rockcliffe, the training ground of Middlesbrough Football Club.
Winning the town trophy this year was the team’s final accolade in their five years representing the academy at football. The squad included Jack Adams, Declan Brown, Connor Briggs, Jack Burton, Matthew Burton, Jordan Colley, Joe Craggs, Rory Elliott, Jack Fullarton, Owen Guest, Sam Henderson, Luke Hewitson, Matthew Johnstone, Adam Leather-Younghusband(CORR), Jacob Melling, Jack Procter, Daniel Wheeler, Nathan Wright.
Stewart Souter, head of PE and the team coach, said: “This team have been successful throughout their time at Hummersknott.
“They have also gained a reputation for being able to come back from behind. They did it last year in the cup and they repeated this year coming back from 2-0 down to win 5-2. They have been a credit to the school and wish them well for their future sporting careers.’’
