RESIDENTS in Cockerton East are being invited to discuss their local environment at the next meeting of Cockerton East Community Partnership.
Officers from Darlington Borough Council will be on hand to discuss a number of environmental issues affecting the area, including waste and recycling.
The event starts at 6.30pm on Tuesday (May 14) in Tempest Anderson House, Brinkburn Road, Darlington. All residents are welcome.

PARISH MEET: Neasham Parish Council will hold its annual general meeting tomorrow (Monday, May 13) at 7pm at the Reading Rooms in the village. All are welcome.
GARDEN CLUB: The next meeting of Darlington Gardening Club will take place on Wednesday (May 15), at 7.30pm, in Bondgate Methodist Church Hall. The speaker will be Mel Smith from Sam Turners garden centre, who will be demonstrating summer bedding. Entry is £2 for members and £2.50 for non-members. Plants will also be for sale.
POLICE MEET: A Police and Communities Together (Pact) meeting for the Cockerton West area of Darlington will be held tomorrow (May 13) at 6pm at Windsor Court, in Newton Lane, Darlington.
WARD SURGERY: Residents in the Eastbourne area of Darlington are invited to meet with their local councillors and discuss issues affecting the area at their ward surgery, which will be held between 5pm and 6pm at Pilmoor Green Community Centre on Wednesday, May 15.
