DARLINGTON’S Asda stores have joined forces to support the same charity and aim to raise more than £1,000 in a sponsored walk.
The Asda store on Whinbush Way adopted St Teresa’s Hospice as its charity in 2002, and since then has raised £15,407 for it.
In January this year the Neasham Road store followed suit by also choosing St Teresa’s Hospice as a favourite charity.
Between the two stores, 23 members of staff have signed up to take part in the Hospice’s Midnight Walk on May 17 in Darlington’s South Park and have set themselves a goal to raise more than £1,000.
Registration is still open for the Midnight Walk. Anyone who would like to take part can pick up a form from St Teresa’s Hospice or its charity shops, or download one from www.darlingtonhospice.org.uk
