STOCK APPEAL: The Age UK charity stores in Skinnergate and Post House Wynd, in Darlington, have made an appeal for people to donate stock. The charity would welcome clothes, bric-a-brac, toys and household items for the shops, which are both second-hand £1 shops. Volunteers are also needed to help sort donations. YOGA CLASS: Darlington Yoga Group will host a morning of yoga on Saturday, May 11, with the theme Opening the heart taken by Angela Griffiths. FOLK CLUB: The next meeting of the Darlington Folk Club will include a performance by Colum (correct) Sands. The group will meet on Thursday, May 9, at the Copper Beech Pub, in Darlington, at 8pm. Free entry.
HEALTH HELP: Healthwatch Darlington, a group monitoring health issues in the town, will host an event to provide a single point of contact to help people find information about health and social care choices and NHS complaints advocacy. The group will meet at Maidendale House, in Burnside Road, Firthmoor, on Thursday, May 9, at 11am to 1.30pm.
KIDS CRICKET: Darlington Railway Athletic Cricket Club, in Brinkburn Road, Darlington, will host a session of cricket coaching for children aged between five and 11-years-old. The event will take place on Friday, May 10, between 6pm and 8pm. Entry is £4 per child.
