VOLUNTEERS are appealing for Sainsbury’s shoppers to donate generously to help supply a local food bank. The group, from the Firthmoor and District Community Association, will be at the Victoria Road Sainsbury’s on April 11 between 11am and 2pm to collect items for the foodbank in Firthmoor. The donated food will also be used for hampers to distribute to residents in need.
STREET CARNIVAL: A Latin street carnival is taking place on Skinnergate on April 28 as part of the fifth annual Teesside Latin Dance Festival.
The street will be a hive of Cuban and Latin-inspired colour and music between noon and 2pm, with themed workshops and events also taking place inside the Voodoo Café.
