BUILDING society bosses have launched a mortgage that helps raise funds for a life-saving charity.
For every ‘Affinity’ mortgage taken out by Darlington Building Society customers, the society will donate £250 to the Great North Air Ambulance Service (GNAAS).
Sharon Willetts, Darlington group sales manager at the society’s Tubwell Row branch, said: “Our new affinity mortgage linked to the GNAAS has already proved extremely popular.”
Mandy Drake, deputy director of the air ambulance said: “We are delighted that Darlington Building Society has launched this product.
“It costs £4m to keep three aircraft mobile for a year and we rely on donations for the service to continue.”
