A SELECTION of Faverdale Roman finds will go on display at Darlington Library next week.
The finds on show, which include a copper alloy horse harness fitting, and a piece of decorated beaker, probably from Gaul, will be in the library’s centre for local studies until 5pm on Wednesday (March 27).
The finds are on loan from Pre-Construct Archaeology, which carried out the rescue dig between 2003 and 2004, at the site in Faverdale.
Booklets about the dig are also available for sale in the library priced at £3.50 and the full report is available at £20.
The centre for local studies has display material from its collection on show each month.
The display for April will show photographs of the Darlington Grammar School and some of the students who studied there. All displays are free.
