ALMOST 100 people visited a Darlington church to see a performance by a choir.
Hartlepool Male Voice Choir performed at Northgate United Reformed Church on Saturday (March 16).
The show took 18 months to arrange after some of the Northgate church members travelled to Hartlepool to see the choir perform and decided to invite it to Darlington.
The performance included a number of classic songs from the shows, featuring songs from artists like James Taylor, Matt Monro and the Beatles.
The show, hailed as a success by everyone who attended, raised nearly £500 for the church funds.
The choir will next perform with the Hartlepool Ladies Choir in April, followed in June by a show with Lesley Garrett.
Maranny Jones, lay preacher at the church, said: “I can’t believe it’s over because I’ve been looking forward to it for so long.
“It’s been a wonderful night and I’ve had goosebumps several times.”
