A TOTAL of 26 Rotary Club members and their wives attended Polam Hall Interact Club’s sixth charter dinner, a recent meeting of the club was told.
Roland Lang, president of Darlington Rotary Club, announced a new food bank initiative for the club and asked for volunteers to help organise it.
Darlington mayor Paul Baldwin was the speaker at the meeting.
He told members about the fundraising he has carried out during the first part of his year in office.
A Rotary Club spokesman said: “Rather than talk about his political career leading to becoming mayor he gave a short history of his 32 year passion for Lambretta scooters.
“Paul has travelled extensively on his Lambretta both in this country and abroad including fundraising events with friends from the Darlington Scooter Club.”
