A DARLINGTON animal charity is holding a free workshop today (Friday, November 2) for youngsters to create a menu of delights for their pets.

Dogs Trust Darlington, based in Sadberge, is opening its doors for children to take part in a free workshop and learn how to help their dog stay healthy.

Organisers will also be allowing children under 12-years-old to take a look behind the scenes at its rehoming centre, and meet some of the animals looking for new owners.

Louise Close, Education Officer at Dogs Trust Darlington, said: “Families may be at a loss for things they can enjoy during the half-term holidays, but with these workshops the children will hopefully enjoy a different day out.

“What could be better than spending the day making new four-legged friends?”
