A HEALTHCARE company chipped in with a real charitable effort during a golf day.

Heritage Healthcare held an event at Blackwell Grange Golf Club, with 30 teams taking to the fairways to support St Teresa’s Hospice, in Darlington.

A further £2,300 was made during a dinner at Headlam Hall Hotel, with further cash donated from sponsorship of golf tees, on course competitions and a raffle and auction.

The event, now in its 11th year, has raised more than £128,000.

Sally Pickersgill, Heritage Healthcare director and event organiser, said: “The golf day was a wonderful event and we would like to thank those who were so generous with their support and contributions.

“We also want to say a big thanks to Adrian Speir, from Landteam, for his continued support and for the money raised at the dinner.”

Jane Bradshaw, Director of St Teresa’s Hospice, said: “The contributions from the golf day and the dinner will support our ongoing work of patient care and support.”
