PACT MEETING: The next meeting of the Mowden and Hummersknott partners and communities together (Pact) group will take place on Thursday, November 1, at Carmel Surgery, in Nunnery Lane, Darlington, between 6.30pm and 7.30pm.
HALLOWEEN SPOOKTACULAR: Dogs Trust Darlington is holding its annual Halloween fundraising event on Tuesday, October 30, from 6.30pm to 8.30pm at its rehoming centre in Sadberge. Entry is £3.50 per person, which includes a savoury snack and dogs go in free. There will be a spooky ghost walk, plus a fancy dress competition for children and hot dog bobbing for four-legged friends.
ART WORKSHOP: Darlington artist Deirdre McCrimmon is hosting a one-day art workshop on how to create portraits with pastels on Saturday, November 17, from 10am to 3pm at The Bridge centre in Yarm Road, Darlington. WARD SURGERY: Councillors Charles Johnson and Alan Coultas, ward members for Hummersknott, will hold a ward surgery at Carmel College, The Headlands, Darlington, on Monday (October 29) from 6pm to 7pm.
