AMATEUR artists can create their own artwork under the guidance of professionals at an artistic event this weekend.

The Big Draw event will be held at the Arts Café at The Bridge, Centre for Visual Arts, Yarm Road, Darlington on Saturday, October 27, between 11am and 2pm.

The Arts Café is open to the public on the last Saturday of every month and offers people the chance to get hands on with art and to explore a range of creative practice supported by established artists.

The theme for the event changes each month and this Saturday’s session will be a Big Draw event where people of all ages and abilities can try new and fun ways to create artwork to take home.

Master classes will be held for anyone wanting to develop their existing creative skills. Under-16s must be accompanied by an adult.

Admission is £2 including all materials, tuition and refreshments.
