VAN APPEAL: Police in Darlington have appealed for information about a white flat-bad van that has been seen patrolling the streets of Darlington, apparently looking for scrap or items left in gardens or yards. Anyone who sees a vehicle matching the description acting suspiciously are asked to call Darlington Police on the non-emergency 101 number.
SPEED WATCH: A community speedwatch session carried out on the eastbound carriageway of Hurworth Road, at the junction of The Chase, today (Wednesday, October 24) between 8.45am and 9.45am registered 158 vehicles.Five were found to be speeding and those motorists will receive warning letters about their driving.
BABY PLAY: The Darlington branch of NCT holds a play session for toddlers and babies on Fridays, at St Thomas Aquinas Church Hall, in North Road, from 9.30am to 11.30am. Entry is £1.50 per child and 50p for subsequent children. There are toys, craft areas, singing and dancing.
