A RECORD-BREAKING Longfield School pupil will be among the dozens of youngsters honoured at a presentation evening this Thursday (October 25).
Dr Mark Simpson, Dean of the School of Social Sciences and Law at Teesside, will present awards and trophies to over 90 pupils at the school who have excelled themselves over the last academic year.
Among those will be the school’s record-breaking student Nicole Shields who passed 20 GCSE and equivalent grades with more than 1,000 points.
She passed 13 of these subjects with A* or A grades and became the first pupil at Longfield to achieve 1,000 points in her GCSE qualifications.
Members of local charitable organisations and the business community will present a variety of other awards and a special recognition for Service to the Governing Body will be given to Elizabeth Hart who recently retired from Longfield after over 20-years of service.
The event starts at 7pm.
