AMATEUR artists from north Durham have held an exhibition of their work over the weekend.
The show by Lanchester Art Group was held today and yesterday (sunday and Saturday) at Lanchester Community Centre.
The paintings, a mix of oil, watercolour and acrylics, included landscapes, portraits and flowers, and were available to buy along with a selection of homemade refreshments.
Group committee member Lesley Anderson said: “It is held annually to allow members to exhibit the work they have accumulated over the year. It is very popular. Some people come every year, but there were also some people who have never been before, which was nice.”
The group meets in the community centre on Thursday mornings from 10am-12noon, but there is a waiting list for membership.
