POLICE have charged a man with the murder of 61-year-old Pamela Glen in Darlington.
The 61-year-old man, who was arrested on Friday night, will appear before Newton Aycliffe Magistrates' Court tomorrow.
Ms Glen, also known as Pamela Turner, died of stab wounds in the early hours of yesterday (Saturday, October 20) at James Cook University Hospital, Middlesbrough.
She was rushed to hospital late on Friday night from her home in Springhill, Darlington.
Her flat remains cordoned off today and house to house enquiries in the area continue.
Police have again appealed for witness and want to speak to anyone who was in the Springhill area on Friday evening or who saw or heard a disturbance around the flats.
Anyone with information should call Darlington Police on 101 and ask for the incident room at Bishop Auckland.
