WITNESSES are being sought to an accident earlier this month in which a 72-year-old Shildon man died.
Cyril Horner passed away in James Cook University Hospital, in Middlesbrough, after his black Peugeot 107 hit the kerb and crashed into the derelict Flag and Whistle pub, Station Street, Shildon, at about 12.30pm on October 2.
Police want to speak to anyone who saw a small black car being driven along this road at the time, or a black car carrying out a manoeuvre on the road at its junction with Cross Street.
Anyone with information should call Durham Police on 101 and ask for PC Mick Baxter in the collision investigation unit.
