FLOODING experts from Germany are to arrive in the North-East next week to share their experience.
A delegation of three civil emergency experts from the Kries Wesel area of Germany, which sits on the banks of The Rhine, are to visit their counterparts in County Durham to share ideas on dealing with floods.
In Germany, the emergency services make extensive use of the voluntary and community sectors during flooding events and Durham County Council says the practice could be developed in the North-East in future.
