CHARITIES are sharing £4,400 from Durham Police Authority’s Property Act Fund.
The money comes from the sale of seized or stolen goods whose owner cannot be identified.
Among the grants are £1,400 for the Northern Police Convalescent Home and £1,000 for the Royal Humane Society.
Authority chairman Peter Thompson said: “Durham Police Authority and Constabulary consider it highly appropriate to give back to the community and constantly look at ways to support its community and organisations within it."
