ST James’ Park signs have been reinstalled at Newcastle United’s home ground almost a year after the controversial name change.

The Magpies’ stadium’s 119 year history was restored today (tue) after the removal of Sports Direct Arena signs and new lettering was installed.

It comes after the club's new sponsor, loans firm Wonga, also took on the naming rights as part of their £32m deal.

Newcastle fan Sharon Potter, 42, from Walker, said: “It is excellent. I am over the moon.”
