A MAN has been charged with supplying a Class A drug to a teenager who died after taking a substance believed to contain amphetamine.
Poppy Rodgers, 16, died in York in the early hours of April 20. An inquest found she had taken a paste which was thought to contain the stimulant.
Police said they have charged a 24-year-old local man with supplying her with a Class A drug (4-methylamphetamine).
He has also been charged with another count of supplying a Class A drug, four counts of attempting to supply a Class A drug and possession of a Class A drug with intent to supply.
He is due to appear at York Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday, October 31.
