A SCHOOL pupil was airlifted to hospital today after suffering a head injury while playing netball.
The 12-year-old girl was hurt after colliding with a wall at King James I Academy in Bishop Auckland, County Durham, at 3.15pm.
She was assessed by paramedics before being flown to the James Cook University Hospital in Middlesbrough by the Great North Air Ambulance Service.
A spokesman for the air ambulance said the girl was in a stable condition when she arrived at the hospital.
