POLICE in a seaside town have issued a CCTV photograph of a man they want to speak to about an assault.
It is believed the man was part of a group of people who travelled to Scarborough from the North- East, including Chester-le-Street and Newcastle, who were staying in Scarborough over the weekend of June 15 to 17.
The incident happened in the town centre early on Saturday June 16.
The CCTV image of the man was taken at the Sun Inn and officers would like anyone who can help identify him to contact them, or preferably, for the man himself to contact the police.
Anyone with any information should call Detective Sergeant Rob Henderson at Scarborough CID on (01723) 509471 or e-mail rob.henderson@northyorkshire.pnn.police.uk
People can also pass information anonymously to Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
