A MAN is in hospital after suffering serious injuries when he was crushed by a crane load.
The 52-year-old suffered severe injuries to his back, chest and abdomen in the industrial incident in Coxhoe, County Durham, at about 1.30pm on Wednesday.
He was given emergency medical treatment at the scene and flown to the James Cook University Hospital, in Middlesbrough, by the Great North Air Ambulance.
His condition on arrival at hospital was said to be stable.
The man is said to be from Stansted, in Essex.
