AN DRUNKEN reveller was beaten up in takeaway after chatting to a woman dressed as a schoolgirl.

The 27-year-old man was knocked unconscious in an alleged unprovoked one-punch attack by one of two men the woman called on her mobile for help.

Officers are looking for the two men and woman following the incident in the Supreme Take Away in Front Street, Consett , Country Durham, at 2am on Sunday, August 5.

A police spokesman said, the victim entered the takeaway under the influence of alcohol and ordered food.

He then started chatting to a dark-haired woman dressed in a schoolgirl outfit, who was also on the premises.

The spokesman said: “After a short conversation, the female made a telephone call. Shortly afterwards two males came to the shop.

“The first man stayed at the doorway where the victim was standing, while the second male spoke to the woman. The two of them then left the shop.

“As the first man started to leave, without any physical provocation, he threw a right punch at the victim, causing him to fall directly to the pavement - hitting his head on the footpath.”

The three people walked away, leaving the victim unconscious on the ground. The entire incident was caught on the premises.

The spokesman said the victim was admitted to the University Hospital of North Durham. He received no treatment and later discharged himself.

The first suspect was described as being of medium build and about 6ft tall with short dark hair. He was wearing a white long-sleeved hooded top with pockets and jeans.

The second suspect was described as being in his 40s, of stocky build, about 5ft 10in tall with short greying hair and with tattoos on right forearm and right bicep. He was wearing a white short-sleeved shirt with a logo on the front and jeans.
