Setting off for work on Saturday morning and I spot a clown heading for Lipscomb hall. No, it wasn’t Tupper, it was a guy in a clown outfit helping with the opening of a new café in Cockfield.
Clair Turner has taken over the hall and runs her new business ‘Claryfairy Café’ from there. Judging by the amount of cars parked round and about on Saturday afternoon, it looks like it could be a roaring success.
The café is open on Mondays 7.30am - 1.15pm and the toddler group runs from 1.30pm - 3.00pm.
Tuesday 7.30am - 4.30pm.
Wednesday - Closed.
Thursday 7.30am - 4.30pm.
Friday 7.30am - 9.00pm.
Opening Saturdays soon!
Clair is doing a special lunchtime deal for pensioners; Two course meal and a cuppa £4.80 which is available Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday 12.00pm until 2.00pm.
Also, once things are up and running, Clair will be offering a hot meal delivery service for any residents unable to get to her café.
Clair said, “Saturdays opening was a fantastic success and we even took a wedding booking as people were amazed at how we have transformed the hall. Just today, we have had an enquiry to hold a Christening party, so I’m delighted with how things are going.”
Clair is also available for any outside catering events that you may have and there is also a takeaway service. Clair can be contacted on 07870660998.
I think Cockfield has needed a café and its one of those businesses that both local residents and walkers etc will be delighted to see. I’m ’fairy sure’ it will be well supported!
