A VILLAGE fair to raise money for community groups was held in north Durham over the weekend.
It was held on Saturday afternoon at Bearpark Community Centre, near Durham, and featured a magician, craft and card stalls, bric-a-brac, raffles, tombolas and displays.
The event was organised by Bearpark Parish Council, which funded a scarecrow and photography competition.
Chairman Marion Wilson said: “It was a lovely day and everyone said they were happy with how well it has gone.
“The kiddies were over the moon with the magic and they seemed to like the fire engine the best.”
