AN appeal has been submitted against a council’s decision to refuse planning permission for a bungalow.
Jack Havakin wants to build the detached property in the former garden of a property in Castle Close, off Church Lane, Middleton St George.
In May, Darlington Borough Council refused permission for the development.
One of the grounds for refusal was that it would have had an “overbearing and obtrusive” impact on the occupiers of a neighbouring property.
Mr Havakin has now submitted an appeal, which will be considered by the Planning Inspectorate.
Representations should be made before October 10, to the Planning Inspectorate, Room 3/06, Temple Quay House, 2 The Square, Temple Quay, Briston BS1 6PN.
